Information on UK arrests? - August 28th 2009, 03:06 PM

I'm writing a book (well I will be when I can get all the information I need), and I need to get as much information as possible. The procedure at the station, the procedure on getting to the station, what everything looks like, how it felt, pretty much everything possible, as this is a major part of my book, thanks.

When you say station, do you mean police station?

If you do, then I suggest you go to a police station and ask one of the officers In my city, they sometimes will have tours of the police stations available to school groups, girl guides, etc. Maybe they'll be able to show you around and tell you what the procedures for everything is. Police officers are generally very friendly

If you weren't talking police station, then ignore everything I just said

Hey there Annie,

You may want to check out "Crime, justice and the law" on the Directgov website which is [here]. This is a government website so it's all going to be accurate. You may also want to check out the HM Prison Service website which is [here], which again should be accurate and has some information about prison life. There is also the Home office website [here] which gives you the best description of what happens when you're arrested or taken into custody.

Hopefully these links should help you.
Good luck with writing your book!
