If you're finding an ad inappropriate for the site then I suggest you PM Rob with the url of the ad. We can't remove all ads as we need them to keep the site running.
Also, you can get rid of all the ads by donating to the site, link here. Exactly what Lou said, Message with Rob or Mel with the URL's of any advertisement you find triggering. It's not guaranteed that you won't see it again, but it's worth a shot! We try to remove most of the graphic ones, and other ones, so definitely report them =]
