Traveling Advice -
April 8th 2010, 06:10 PM
A friend of mine and myself are trying to get from Wisconsin to Pennsylvania in late June to attend another friend's graduation party. We've ruled out driving there, simply because of the cost of gas, and we've ruled out flying because it's so damn expensive. This leaves us with either Amtrak or Greyhound buses. I just wanted to know what your thoughts/opinions/experiences are with these. I've done Amtrak for a two thousand mile round-trip, and although I've never ridden Greyhound, I have ridden other coach buses on several thousand mile roundtrips.
I'll be 19, my friend will be 17, so by ticket standards we're both adults in both systems. Amtrak seemed slightly less expensive, but I still want some input. Thanks! We will ask nothing. We will demand nothing. We will take. French Graffiti, 1968 29078006202249 |

My personal experience with a Greyhound bus was not too bad really. I traveled to New York through Pennsylvania. Sometimes the people riding were a bit iffy, but the stations seemed safe enough. Just stick together and don't make eye contact to anyone haha.
