Simple.
Men love food. I can vouch for that fact. Either take him to one of his favorite restaurants, or make him dinner yourself. We will ask nothing. We will demand nothing. We will take. French Graffiti, 1968 29078006202249 |

I can totally relate to you on this one because my dad is the kind of person who buys the things that he wants when he wants them so it's a nightmare when it comes to buying him presents. However, I have already ordered him something for Father's Day so I guess I'm pretty organised this year. I've ordered him a black Manchester United t-shirt that has this design on it:

My dad doesn't like celebrating himself in anyway. He didn't open his birthday card until may 1st..his birthday is 29th April. He refused to have any kind of birthday mention a my party, since it was on his birthday so I said I'd share a cake with him. So I'm not going to buy him anything. I'll get him a card and be nice for the day, he'll appreicate that much more than anything I could buy for him.

Well, seeing as my dad died when I was eleven, and I don't have a step dad, or even really a grandpa, I don't celebrate the holiday. But, what I can say is that gift cards work really well! And I really like the idea of making him something. Men seem to be simple enough that the gift should be well thought out, but not over the top.

I can't afford to get too much for my Daddy and I actually didn't get anything for my Mommy on Mother's Day either... I'm thinking I might make dinner and clean the house up for them the next time I go home to visit.
In the past, I've ordered him a personalized ice cream cake, bought him cookbooks (for grill recipes), big band CD's, a new coffee mug (filled with Peanut M&M's), and even some books I don't think he's ever read. xD I really need to show my parents I appreciate them right now. They've done a LOT for me and now with everything that's going on with my dad's health, I need to remember to show them I love them a LOT. “Don't get too comfortable with who you are at any given time. WELL,
My dad is quite the creative person. And recently, he has started to make rosaries. Right now, he has all of his supplies (pearls, crosses, chain pieces [don't exactly know what they're called ], wire cutters, etc.) in a tupperware container. So, my mom is thinking that we can get him a tool box of sorts so he can have a better way to store all of the rosary stuff. (: The past few years we've gotten him watches and clothes BUT, he doesn't need anymore watches or clothes.

I always have trouble buying gifts for my dad - he doesn't tend to use anything nerdy/computery that I get him. Ever.
So get him something simple and personal. Gift cards are good, and making him food is good. Candy is good. Get him something small that he likes/needs. I bought my dad a Celtics drinks thing. It has an ice bucket, cups, and coasters. He likes the Celtics

I already got my dad his father day present, I took him to a gig
![]() But if he likes nerdy type things, check out a site called firebox. Some of the stuff is really odd, like 14 inch gummy bears xD, but some is rather cool and fun as well. I've always gone down the music route with my dad as well, so maybe an album? "Life is pain, anybody that says different is selling something" ~ Fezzik's Mother, The Princess Bride. ♥ "To die, would be an awfully big adventure."~ Peter Pan "Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumoured by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." ~ The Buddha 14-04-2010. I'm buying my dad new biker boots. $200 bucks a pop though. :/
"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, “Dear Jim: I loved your card.” Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it." |

What I get him depends on if he decides to spend all evening in the pub or not.
I thought about you for the rest of the day. Catching my head turning to find you again. I hated myself for it. |

LOL nothing, my dads a prick
