Need help with buying gifts! -

Hey, I hope this is the right place to post. If not, feel free to move it.
So, on saturday I'm going over to my friends house to celebrate his and one of his friends' birthdays, and I have no idea what to get either of them! I've known the guy for about five years, but I never know what to get him. We have a history together, and we're good friends. He's really into computers, but I don't think there's anything he wants that he doesn't already have... The girl (my friends friend) I've only met once, very briefly. I have no idea of what she likes/dislikes. My friend's turning 19, and the girl is turning 18. I should probably add that I don't have that much of a budget either, but any suggestions are appreciated!  Also, if anyone wants to help out with costume ideas, I've posted a thread in the Fashion forum Thanks

You could go for something like chocolate for the girl, because then it doesn't have to be something she's interested in or anything, just something she'll eat.
Or jewelry, but that's harder if you don't know what she likes. I'm terrible about buying stuff for guys... Could you get him music or something? You can usually get some discs quite cheaply. Hester has some lovely ideas, but to add to it, I'm going to suggest gift cards. If one of your friends likes computer, maybe a gift card to best buy or staples. And for the girl, you can't go wrong with a Bath and Body gift card. Girls love that stuff! Good luck
