What makes you different from everyone?

A really big part of what makes me me is the music I love and listen to. It plays a huge part in my life and I'm almost always surrounded by it.

I guess the things that make me different from everyone else I can interact with (in my town) is the variety I want to have in my friends. I don't want 3 variations of the same friend in three different people.

I want entirely different people. Different Races, nationalities, creeds, orientations. Variety is the spice of life. I want life to be SPICY!



I guess there is the absolute craziness I possess for better or worse too. But hey, You're only sane when you insane, no?

I can relate to children very very well, I understand them and sometimes they understand me, when no-one else does.

I'm not very good at things that require a lot of co-ordination or movement due to my dyspraxia but I'll always try my very best.

I'm super short; I've been blind in my left eye since birth; I trust way too quickly; I'm amazing with children; I do a lot of art but until recently never showed anyone (see siggy ); I always believe people are better than me an don't think much of me so end up not putting myself out there for friendships or relationships.

Most people don't know this unless they look me straight in the eye when the light hits my eye just right, but my eyes have a "glow" to them, I guess you can say. The "glow" is from the incisions in my eyes from my cataract surgeries. I was born with congenital cataracts.

I think it's really cool; there are some pictures you can see it in. It's funny, though, when I've known someone for a long time, and they randomly look at me funny and are like, "What's up with your eye?!"

I've been told I have cat eyes.

A downfall, though, my eyes is they're highly sensitive to light. Which means I squint heavily in sunlight, and sometimes it looks like I'm mad, when I'm just trying to avoid the sunlight from hurting my eyes.

What makes me different is that I am 13 years old and in grade 9 when everyone else my age is in grade 8. I am 13 lol and I have a baby. I dress quite differently and do my hair differently and wear my makeup differently and I am really short. I get stared at a lot but that doesn't bother me and I am almost always smiling. Also I read like constantly I am a bookworm. I have been told I am very smart and mature for my age but I often act immature (makes things more fun) I have always loved kids even though I am still one myself and even when I was like 4 and i have this doll that i took with me everywhere up till I turned 12 and I pretended he was real. I dressed him in real clothes and and pretended to feed him and got up at night to change his diapers I buckled him in cars. There is toothpaste stuck in his mouth.. haha. I guess I was meant to be a mom.

-I'm very shy. But once I make friends with someone they can't keep me quiet.
- I love to read. I'll read almost every genre
- Photography is one of my favorite hobbies, and it helps me relax.

I'm completely random, and when I'm around other random people... I tend to get a little crazy. For instance, my friend Savannah and I pretend to be dying ninjas, sing Christmas carols going up and down the halls, have really odd but strangely fulfilling conversations... You get the idea.

I love music, but I love the kind of music I love. I listen to bands that most people have never heard of, and enjoy them. I love dancing, too, and I'm going to start bellydance soon, so I can learn to calm down and assemble my crazy and energetic dancing into something that makes sense to other people, haha.

I'm rather tall, and my fashion sense has been compared to that of saloon singers in the 1920s... Mainly because I love red lipstick and dark dresses.

I have this odd thing where I'm very polite, and am entirely incapable of getting into trouble of any sort... Unless my mother's around, then I'm constantly yelled at, but that's just what mothers are supposed to do, I'm beginning to think.

I write stories about Vikings in my spare time.

-I'm very comfortable being by myself.
-When I think, I think in sentences.
-I can say the alphabet backwards. (English and sign language, and almost Spanish)
-I find it hard to get close to people, sometimes even feeling disconnected from most, but once I do, I'm overly clingy.
-I want to travel the entire world.
-I have much more fun volunteering than a party, any day. Helping people and animals is my life.

I write deep poetry that other people would probably find scary. In fact, people have told me what I write IS scary.
I'll happily make a fool of myself, then regret it later because people think I'm weird.
I never wear jeans. I Don't like how they feel, or how they look on me. I'm the only person I know who does not wear jeans.
I hate being around people. I'll happily go out with a few friends, but never a large group, even if they are all my friends. I feel like I get left behind.

My ability to love... No one can ever say that I'm guarded. I immediately put my emotions out there and love people. I've been defined as "the church hugger" and "mother hen".

As easily as people can read me (I don't hide anything about me), I can read people. I seem to immediately know who I can trust and who I should be careful of. My intuition tends to be right on the mark most of the time.

Unlike most people, music doesn't completely define who I am. I mean everyone has certain "songs" and stuff but it's not an integral part of my life, whether it be creating or listening to it.

Being a female engineering major and a sorority sister -- it shows that I can be smart and academically focused while still having fun and enjoying life with my fellow Greeks. (Which I say because I go to a pretty big Greek school and I have friends not only within my own sorority but within other frats as well.)

The small physical quirks about myself I'm slowly getting used to accepting, like my short nails and lack of breasts.

That I wear makeup and put effort into my appearance. I like to look pretty and I feel more confident wearing makeup.

Not doing things that are expected of me. I don't mean like... refusing to go to class or comply with the law. But I hate following any set stereotype, even the ones that are like, "Oh I wanna be different from everyone" but then all those people just fall into their own stereotype. I'm a sorority girl, but I don't drink a lot. I'm an engineer, but I have a social life. I'm girly and all for womens' rights, but I make sexist jokes. I have a lot of guy friends, but I don't sleep with all of them nor am I super into sports. I don't like the idea of someone being able to pin me into a certain group of people like that.

-I'm almost impossible to stereotype because I'll talk to anyone.
-I'm an excellent liar, but I only use the skill to cover my emotions or to cover for someone. I rarely use it to get my way.
-I read all the time! Seriously. You'll never catch me somewhere without a book in my purse.
-I have a strange obsession with Harry Potter. It's verging on ridiculous. I can tell you pretty much anything about it. It's been my favorite series for 12 years. <3
-When I talk about my unique qualities this much, I feel like I'm being conceited. Lol. :P

truth be told i don't really know how i'm different. I feel like all girls fall under 1 of 3 'types'. And boys fall under 1 of 2 'types'. The girl types are, tomboy-ish, girly, or the rocker girl. I guess I'm kinda a mixture of all three. Which is really upsetting because that means I'm not the average teenage girl. So I'm not very unique or different in any way.

The boy types are, douchebag, or rocker. I obviously don't date douchebags.

I agree with you. I'm probably going to catch a lot of flack for it, but I think teenage girls are the most un-unique (or generic) group you can belong to. Teenage boys are almost as bad except that I think girls have a sort of feeling of a need to be a part of a group to feel a belonging and part of something, whereas many boys I know are quite happy to do their own thing. Even when many of the girls I know say "Fuck the haters" etc. you can tell that they're actually not okay with what's being said.


Your groups are pretty correct too. I mean I think there are a few more types, especially for guys (What about nerds, for example) but honestly everybody has a group. If you don't fit into any other group, then you're put into another group with many names for it (Hipster, weirdo, strange etc.).

I myself am incredibly generic, but I don't mind because it actually makes feel good. Also, there's nothing wrong with not being unique. Nobody is, so I think it's better if we all stopped trying to be unique and just focused on what we really like and let our actions define our personalities.

I'm different from all my friends and family. I like to be different (hence dying my hair often) but I mostly do things because I want to. I don't let people's opinions influence how I present myself. Some people don't like my tattoos and piercings, but all that matters is that I do.
I would say something about music, but in this generation everybody loves music so I don't think its really different. Sure, I love heavy music. So do lots of other people.
I have been diagnosed with major depressive episodes and social anxiety. I rarely feel scared, and my green eyes are a mutation.
Oh, and I have a pretty quiet voice.

Well...People say I'm mature for my age. I can get along with almost anyone & I stay out of drama. I hate criticizing people because I hate being criticized, myself. I hate drawing attention to myself due to bullying. I keep experimenting with different looks, because I don't like how I look yet. I'm better friends with guys than girls. I like music that most people don't think I'd like. I used to sketch & play guitar a lot, but stopped over the years for different reasons. I'm a lot like my dad in the way I handle certain situations & my tastes in music & movies. I tend to stick out from my family as far as career decisions, religious views, styles, & hobbies. When I mess up, I don't forgive myself for quite a while. Things really stick with me, it's hard to get over things (such as bullying, the arguments I used to have with my parents all the time, my boyfriend's past, things I regret, etc.). I have trust issues, because I used to trust too easily.

I guess that's all I can think of for now.

well, the thing that makes me unique is that I'm always the opposite of what people think of me.
What people think I am: a quiet, fragile, shy and happy girl that loves life.
What I really am: a girl who wants to be heard, who gets waht she wants and if she doesn't she gets angry; a girl who owns a dark soul and who's not afraid of showing it; a weak girl that gets stronger when she fights for someone else; a girl who's not afriad of being herself and of letting people know what she thinks.
