What does referals mean? -

On my profile page towards the botthom is the section called 'General Information'. Untill now-so last time I looked it said referals:0 however I look today and the information is as follows.
General Information
Does anyone know what it means by referrals? as in Referal to what, and why? Also does it mean anything happens, such as, well what could happen? that's why Im asking! cheers dipka You have just read Dipka's forum post. When you create an account, it asks if anyone has referred you to the site so when someone joined, they would have put your username in that box which means you've gained one referral.
