Submissions for Avatar. -
March 27th 2009, 12:47 AM
The Avatar Editors are always looking for submissions for Avatar, TeenHelp's monthly online magazine. To view past issues, click here.
What kind of content are you looking for? If you’re unsure if an idea for a submission would suit Avatar, ask an Editor! However, as guidelines, we are looking for:
How do I submit my work? Please note that there is no deadline for submitting work. Because this is a monthly magazine, we can take submissions at any time.
What happens after I submit my work? Unfortunately, we cannot include everything submitted to us. However, we do try to include the majority of user submitted work, so if you are interested, please contact us through one of the ways mentioned above. By submitting content to an Avatar Editor, you agree to it being printed in an edition of Avatar at any time deemed appropriate by the staff. You also agree that it may be edited by the staff. This is highly unlikely in the case of submissions for the Self Expression section of the magazine. In the event that your work is used, you will be notified via private message upon the release of the issue. Anything else I should know? Remember that articles based on fact, and not opinion, should always be verified by respectable outside sources. For example, Wikipedia is not considered a respectable source for medical information; a reliable medical source would be, for example, the Mayo Clinic website. |
