Smile Recovery: A second time through treatment. - October 17th 2012, 08:40 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of eating disorders, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

My name is Ella Rose and I have been bulimic for 3 years with anorexic tendencies. But guess what? I have graduated from my in-patient treatment and am now able to be at home full time! I started my recovery in January. It's been 10 months and now I can happily say that I haven't made myself purge in 5 months! I'm at a healthy weight(a little more then what I wanted to be but that's okay ) You guys recovery is POSSIBLE and you are NOT alone! I can help anyone who struggles with an eating disorder. Or any form of self harm at that.

Just wanted to announce my greatest achievement!

Oh wow! I'm so happy for you. I'm proud of you for being able to go that long without purging. It's hard to do, but we all have strength inside of us. I'm really glad you're doing so well. Keep it. Continue on with treatment/counseling, because even if you're feeling good now- we all have bad days once and a while. It's best to stay as on track as possible.

I'm going to go ahead and move this to 'Recovery Stories' as this is exactly what this is!

That's awesome! I love to see threads like this, it shows that you had a lot of courage to go through with in-patient treatment. It shows strength also. Great job. Its really amazing to hear recovery stories, it shows there is hope. Congrats!

From day one I talked about getting out
But not forgetting about
How all my worst fears are letting out
He said, "Why put a new address on the same old loneliness?"
When breathing just passes the time
Until we all just get old and die

Congrats!! This is inspiring!
