Recovery Stories Recovery can be a long and difficult path, and we may forget to rejoice in our accomplishments. Share your recovery stories here, from self harm, to drug, or alcohol addictions, and anything else you are proud of.
I was thinking that this could be a thread where people could maybe share their recovery stories and give others recovering confidence/motivation to stop c: I'd give one.. but, I don't really have one myself yet hehe.

Well, I'm by no means fully recovered but I am now to a point where I can normally go a long time in between self harming episodes, so does that count?
I think it's a matter of not giving up. Recovery can be a super long process but it is worth the effort and eventually you WILL make progress, even if it is small steps at a time. I know that for me going to college was a big help because I could start taking care of things on my own without my parents knowing. Either way, you will get an opportunity to recover. ^_^

I'm not completely recovered either but so I came out of a psychiatric hospital and decided I needed to do all that I could to change my life.
I'm at University studying Nursing, I work in a Psychiatric Hospital, have a amazing boyfriend, house and car. Hopefully we'll have our own family soon. I really feel like my life is starting to come together!
It wasn't by any means easy and some days it still isn't, but I'm getting there
