Loud people - May 8th 2012, 04:38 PM

Some behave like this when they're drunk. That's not the issue here.

The issue is, I've got 3 big exams coming up, 1 already behind me, and there are these assholes (who also have exams) always talking in loud voices, playing some fucking music, slamming doors, messing about... I just don't get these sorts of people. There's a common room where they can do all of this and I wouldn't care then.

I've told them to quieten down. Then I told them to calm the hell down. Then I told them to shut up. Next I'm going to call security and get them to shut the fucking party down, because if I do it I feel like I might get into a fight with these jerkbags.

Why even bother going to university? The sorts of people I have run into in this place shocked me a few times in the first year, by the 2nd year I got used to it I suppose... but that doesn't mean I approve of it or that I'll put up with it like this. I live on the top floor in my building and some cretins punched-in all the lift buttons and shoved raw eggs down into the control panel. The lift has been broken for two months now.

And if they start fucking banging on my door after security leaves, trying to get a reaction out of me, then they will get a reaction out of me. If the door at least opened to the outside I'd be able to slam one of them with it as they're bashing on it.

I don't think there's any better word for these sort of people than "NOOBS". Dumb, stupid, amateurish, immature, clueless, thoughtless. All rolled into one word, I like it. I seriously considered buying a supersoaker and firing it at the people standing outside my window every evening talking so loud that you'd think they want the whole world to hear them. Didn't bother, it was just a funny thought really. When it happens I usually just pass the time by going to the gym for a few hours.

"I don't care about politics"
Then politics doesn't care about you either. Truth. You've got to make your voice heard, if you want to be listened to. But that's too logical for some people, so let me go a step further. Not making your voice heard, leaves other people free to hijack it by speaking on your behalf, even if they don't actually give a shit about you. That's politics. So, make your voice heard. That's not a quote from anywhere. That's just me.

That sucks. is there any other place you can study away from all of this? You need your studying time.

"Ignore the ramblings of the ignorant, and step on or over their crumpled bodies as you make your way to the top of the mountain. Eat upon their flesh for fuel, and, through your determination and will, banish them to obscurity and a life of complacency and self righteousness that is the hell in which they live"

-Richard Safreed
