Need to feel better soon. - April 20th 2017, 01:14 AM

I don't know how to be happy right now. Sunday was Easter and it was the first holiday I had without my grandma. We always had both of them coming to our home for the holidays. And my parents said that with my grandma just passing away a few week weeks ago it's going to be hard. I didn't know how hard until I saw my grandpa and I gave him a hug and I started to cry because I missed my grandma. You don't think of the holidays right away when someone dies, this week is a terrible week. I'm just talking. Hopefully posting this will help me start to be ok soon.

I'm sorry for your and your family's loss. It's never easy losing someone so close to you, especially if you've known them your whole life like a grandparent. Maybe your parents just wanted to get everyone together and carry on, knowing it's what your grandmother would have wanted? Don't be afraid to talk about this with your family or another trusted adult. Grief shouldn't have to be dealt with alone and everyone goes through it different ways and at different pace.

Don't hesitate to reach out to us again if you need to.

I'm so sorry that you had a loss in your family so close to Christmas.

My grandma passed away on the 28th of December a couple years ago, so Christmas time is always tough for my family. I also lost other members of my family around holidays, so I definitely know how it feels.

All you can do is get through it as a family. The first couple will be hard, but then eventually it won't be too hard.
