Not sure sorry. - February 11th 2020, 07:06 PM

Part of me feels like I did the right thing, but I'm not sure. We had a test in one of my classes yesterday, this boy who sits in front of me forgot something in his locker, he left the room and had his notebook open, it had all kinds of pictures of things to kill people. Then the other side of the notebook had a list of students and teachers names. I asked my teacher if I could run to the bathroom, I made sure no one was in the bathroom. I called my mom and told her. She said that I have to tell, so I went to the school counselor, I was so scared of telling because I don't like to get anymore in trouble. I went back to class and was scared that the boy knew what I did. The principal, vice principal and a police officer came to the class at the end and took him away. My school counselor told me today that the boy isn't coming back to school and everything is okay now. I feel, not sure, sorry.

I think that you did the right thing for sure. If he was planning on things, that means that you protected the safety of the people in the school. Even if he wasn't planning things, he can now get help for the thoughts he is having.

You 100% did the right thing. Obviously that boy has a lot of troubles and needs help. Who knows what could have happened. Even if he didn't act upon what I would interpret to be malicious intent, he was still considering it and that's a very serious thing.

I get that you don't want to get anyone into trouble, but I think the better way of looking at it is that it's better you mentioned something about him, in case he acted upon whatever it is that has been going on with him and something bad happens. You did the right thing Emma. I know right now you probably won't feel that way, and maybe you feel responsible for what happened to him. You were responsible in that you helped make people aware that he has issues and needs help. You did the right thing!

I think you did the right thing as well. If I was in your situation, I would have done the same. You saved a lot of people getting hurt or even killed and you should be really proud of yourself.

You did the right thing and I am so proud of you.

There is no need to feel guilt. Put it this way, you saved the lives of your peers and teachers.

Perhaps, even your own life. <3

Sorry this is late but you definitely did the right thing- who knows what could've happened otherwise.

Take care
