I don't know if this goes here, so feel free to move it.
My freaking teeth hurt SO BADLY!!!! I just got my braces tightened, and now they are all tight and I can't eat anythinng!! Sorry if you don't like this, just felt like ranting. Do you know how to ease tooth pain? I can't go out and buy anything, and I prefer not to take drugs.... Thanks!! |

Ugh. I feel your pain. I had braces for 9 years, and had nearly every contraption ever created.
Have you tried biting down? I found that biting helped ease the pain slightly. Perhaps also try taking a nap with a cool/warm rag (depeinding on your taste) so that you can sleep through the pain. I always took an advil and hour before my appts so that the pain wouldn't be so bad =/ Your teeth will look marvelous once they're off tho! :P hang in there =) "I'm not old enough to understand girls." I also thought that biting my teeth together helped, but not really, as it hurts, but then the pain turned to pleasure haha.. Especially with the elastics to pull some teeth down, I would always purposely open my mouth to stretch the elastic because it kind of gave me pleasure, and the end result...? Teeth that are nice, white and straight and 2 teeth that look like vampire fangs haha..

I hate my braces!
I have canker sores.All.Over.My.MOUTH! When ever I last got them tightened, i went to kfc, to get mashed potatoes? I burned my whole hand with the gravy. I was in the emergency room with a hurt hand, hungrier then anyone in the world, and my teeth were hurting. i get them tightened soon. how much longer for yours? |

Ouch! I can sympathize here- I had braces for two years!

I had braces for 5 years, I can totally relate to you. After about a day or two, the pain will go away, and you'll start getting used to it. All I did was take some pain killers once a day, and it would ease it for a while.
