Ugh, school - September 2nd 2009, 01:30 PM

I start tomorrow and may have to repeat the year. People are going to ask me what I did this summer....the answer: feeling sorry for myself and constant hospital appointments. I have to go in with marks on my arm and a massive scar that goes right through my eyebrow. Plus it gets better, I'm not allowed to walk to school, walk back, go out during lunch or take a wander through town during my free periods for health reasons! Yesterday was one of the hardest days of my life and now I have to deal with people judging me!

Just needed somewhere to complain...

Hey Faith,

If people judge you then they are not worth it. Just ignore them and show how much stronger you are. You don't have to tell people anything you don't want to so it is up to you what you tell them. You don't have to tell them how you spent your summer. You could just tell you didn't really do anything special. I hope school goes ok tomorrow. Let us know how you get on . Best of luck

Hey Faith. I know how you feel, it's hard to go to school and deal with people who you feel are going to judge you. But more often than not, I think we feel as if we are being judged, when in actuality people could really care less. Everyone has hard times, and if someone judges you because of what you've been through, their idiots, and they're definitely not worth your time or your worry. Go to school confident - so you might have some problems you are currently dealing with, and some of them may be a bit visible, but doesn't everyone? You're not the only one who has been through hard times in life, and any person that is truly worth your time is going to understand and accept that. I'm sure that school isn't going to be nearly as bad as you are expecting. I think you'll be just fine! Best of luck. x

some people can be really insensitive, i've come across it myself and it does hurt when people can just be so oblivious to how saying something might make others feel. if people ask you what you did in the summer just say oh you know, the usual.. or something like that. if you don't want to be in a conversation with someone then just bring the conversation to a close or say that you've gotta go do something. go in with an open mind, some people might surprise you. :]

..and our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears..

Re: Ugh, school - September 4th 2009, 04:17 PM

It went horribly and today wasn't any better. All the teachers go on about is resits and all the kids go on about how 'emo' I am because of the way I am and because I have a habit of drawing dark things. I'm trying to stop drawing and writing because I need to move on from it but it isn't working! Everything about life just makes me doubt I'm going to survive till next year.
