So...Bloody... IMPATIENT - January 19th 2010, 02:17 AM

I'm a fourth year university student.

I'd messed around doing a course I hates for 2 years at a sub-par university. Then I switched to a different course at the same university (which I LOVE), but was never planning on staying there, I just sort of ran with it.

I applied for ANU (Australian National University) in Canberra in August, but had been idolizing it since forever. It's the best in Australia and the 16th best in the world (where my old university was the bottom five in Aus. I got enough marks at high school to go to any uni I wanted.... I have NO idea why I chose it).

But I'm just so sick of WAITING FOR MY OFFERS! Every other state in Australia has released their offers... EXCEPT NSW/ACT.

I just want to KNOW if I get in. I'm not all that sure I will (those first two years of univeristy included being placed on academic probation once for completely bailing on it... though I'm averaging a Distinction in my new course, which is v. good)

As of now I have less than 4 weeks to pack up 20 years, get all my shizz together, and move there.

Getting less every day.

So Frustrating!

I apologise... I know my problems may pale compared to some.

But Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

..On second thoughts, maybe I am mad.

Hey Ashleigh,

Waiting for university decisions to be released can be SO frustrating! Have you contacted the university to find out when they will send out the decision letters? Perhaps knowing exactly when you'll find out will calm your nerves a bit.

Good luck!

"For the first time
in a long time,
I can say that I wanna try.
I feel helpless for the most part,
but I'm learning to open my eyes.
And the sad truth of the matter is,
I'll never get over it,
but I'm gonna try
to get better and overcome each moment
in my own way"

Just be patient and wait for them to decide. If they take longer than you should contact them. But just be patient.
