So a storm caused a major blackout in ct. Bad thing is I happen to live in one of the towns hit really hard. And we've been freezing our butts off in the apt. My aunts are living the good ife with their generators and power. Stupid storm

Oh man, that stinks. The weather where I am has been pretty calm but still in the 90s even though it is almost November ;(.

I heard about that on the news. It looked pretty awful. I'm just waiting for winter to hit here in Canada..its going to be a long one (like always).

I only lost power for about 10 hours from this storm. I got lucky. Many people around here went awhile without power. It was a pretty bad storm though. It was nuts. The roads were awful! Had 2 snow days and a 2 hour delay from school. All is good now though.
Sometimes, we think we're part of someone's life. We share things with them, spend time with them and gather good memories with them. Then suddenly, they will show you that no matter how much you want them to be part of you, it can't happen and in spite of what you've been through together, you will realize that you're still strangers as you always have been..

I grew up in Western MA and my family is still there. Kids were without school for over a week and my parents went (their count) 52 hours without power. I know other friends who went much longer. I hope you have power back by now!
