I am just so frustrated, I can't comprehend it.
I got my concussion 8 weeks ago. I'm blind as a bat, forgetful as can be, sensitive to everything, and just in pain a LOT of the time.
My mom has gone to TWO doctors events out of the... 15 or so doctors appointments thus far. My dad has to miss work to take me ALL of the other days. And she has the NERVE to complain about taking me.

My doctors finally figured out what is wrong with my eyes today. My left eye is near sighted while my right eye is farsighted (to large degrees). My right eye has astigmatism, and my peripheral vision in that eye FAILED. All through that test with both eyes I kept going blind. My eyes also work too hard to focus on things and I go cross-eyed half the time which is why I can't see things well. I now need glasses for near and far things (two different pairs).
My mom was SO upset that she may have had to miss her shows because of this appointment. Yes it took 3 hours. They had to do multiple lazer tests, vision tests, look inside my eyes, figure out what's wrong, etc. At the end she snapped at me to NO stop about how much of a bitch I am and how she was going to miss her show. Also how this medical stuff wasn't convienant to her. BOO FLIPPEN WHOO! I've been out of school for 8 weeks and she's been making my life a bloody HELL ever since this happened because apparently since I'm sensitive and get headachs, I'm just trying to get out of doing things.

So I was like "Wait, I need new distant glasses as well. I got these two years ago and they are too small, and they aren't strong enough". Apparently while I was napping she went and got a doctor degree and repeated back to me that "my eyes would fix themselves and he {the doctor} said I just needed the near glasses".
NO. He said my eyes MAY fix themselves TO A SMALL DEGREE over the next year, but my eyes ARE perminantly like this. And I was to wear distance glasses ALWAYS and near glasses when I am doing Homework, on the computer, reading, etc. And my distance glasses are WAY too small. They squeeze my head and fall off because of that.

Why the heck is she all about herself?!?!?!? I've been in the doctor NONE STOP these months. First because my knee is really screwed up, and now for this brain issue. GET THE HELL OVER YOURSELF. I'm fairly certain a large majority of the world works a bloody hell lot more than you, and you can't complain about when you are off duty, you drop all resonsibilties and act like I don't exist.

...I'm so mad. That twit has no idea how to not care only about herself. Doc and I were talking what is wrong with my eyes, she was basically rushing him so she could get her shows. She started fighting with me infront of everybody. How I'm making her miss her shows, how she hates driving this much. I get car sick now, and I am completely dependant on the people around me right now. You can NOT get all "woah is me" when your life is FINE.

I'm really sorry that your mom is like this! I hate when parents do this. Is your dad the same way? It doesn't seem like he would be. But I don't know. When your mom complains about stuff, just try to tune her out. Or talk to her about. Tell her how it makes you feel when she says things like that. Sorry you're going through this. <3
