All in 2010, two of my brother managed to get their significant others pregnant and my sister got engaged. Also my mother brother has managed to stay clean for a year and get a good paying job. Me? I managed to fail at killing myself. I managed nothing in significance for my parents or siblings. Just to be a miserable little brat.

Thank god they'll be able to move on now. They've got TWO little ones coming into their lives and my sister is happy also. People move on right.

First of all, congratulations to everything going on with your family. That all sounds wonderful.

As for you, don't think like that. You are NOT a miserable little brat. I don't even know you, but I can already tell that you are a wonderful, caring person. & I am GLAD that you are still here. Whether your family appreciates it or not, I'm sure you do so many great things & you will do even more in the future. Keep your head up & remember that you are strong & you will get through this.

On the upside, you're getting two new nieces or nephews and a new brother in law, that's something to rejoice in.

Now as far as your suicide attempt is concerned, 1, I am very glad to hear that you made it through. And 2, that was something really risky that you pulled. There is no do over button for that and it is an action that you can never take back, its the most final thing you can ever do. I have had four people that I have cared about commit suicide and it was the hardest thing I ever had to go through, can you imagine how bad that would be for your family if you had actually succeeded?
