I don't understand.. - December 17th 2011, 10:47 PM

It's been almost two weeks since last time. I'm getting better I guess, but I still feel guilty and like I should be doing it everyday. I can't handle this.

Hey there,
First off, I just wanted to say that you should be proud that you've managed to be self harm free for almost two weeks. I can't imagine it's been an easy thing for you to do, but it'll be worth it in the end. You deserve to be happy and healthy.

There is a thread for self harm alternatives in TH's self harm forum that I think you should check out if you haven't already. You may find some healthier coping strategies there that will work for you when you feel triggered.

I'm not sure if you've already done this, but i'd really recommend you reach out to someone. Speaking to a close friend, parent, guidance counselor, teacher, a hotline, your family doctor, etc. can help you in the long run. When you're really struggling, you can have someone to turn to and get the support you need and should have. It's a lot easier when there's someone else there for you.

Anyways, I hope you found this post somewhat useful. You're almost at two weeks and I know you have the ability to make it to three, four, five weeks...and so on. Just take it one day at a time.

Take care. :]
