Working night shift -
January 2nd 2012, 12:45 PM
My boyfriend has been working factory jobs here and there through temp agencies while saving money to go to college. Anyways just before Christmas he lost his job he had witch was a pretty good one and money was really tight for a while
His job was Full time day shift and payed well too. He was looking for a new job and he got it he started this morning. The problem is that it only pays 11.75 an hour and its rotating shifts so thats two weeks days two weeks afternoons and two weeks nights shift. So he is on days for two weeks now but I am SO not looking forward to him working night shift! Because then I will have to sleep by myself at night and I am ashamed to say that I am terribly afraid of the dark and have plenty of nightmares and restless nights as it is and I work days I know that at least he has a job now and we cant complain cuz sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do but I am just really not happy about that part and this is really just a rant sorry.

Hi Stacy,
I'm scared of the dark as well! So I definitely hear you on that. Sorry to hear about all the rocky changes that have been happening with the boyfriend and the job, but I'm glad that he did at least find a job (especially in this tough economy). While it might be a bit difficult to adjust to at first, it sounds like you guys have a very strong relationship, and I'm sure that this, too, will be something you will be able to overcome. Best of luck to the both of you. ![]() |
