Shocked a bit... - February 11th 2012, 08:28 PM

So usually I'm a regular gym goer. I haven't gone for the past 4 months though because I've had an immense amount of work to do, and when I had the time I was simply too tired.

I'll admit my diet was a bit sketchy over the past few months, crap in general compared to what I usually eat, and my sleeping pattern totally distorted, especially over the past month.

I went from being able to run on the treadmill for 30 minutes at a speed of 15 or even 16 on a good day, to struggling to squeeze out 15 minutes at a speed of 11. It felt like I was about to pass out. I kept going for about an hour anyway with brakes every 10 or so minutes.

Very annoyed with myself. I hope this will get back on track quickly. It should from my experience. I've been through this sort of stuff before, but never this bad... I got boxing training tomorrow and I'm gonna get the shit kicked out of me probably lol. Haven't been for 5 months.

After a look at this thread I think it belongs in the sports section. I'll move it there

I think this actually belongs in the Why Me? section.
BDF, I know its tough to fall behind like that, but just keep going to the gym and you'll get back to where you started before you know it Use this as motivation to keep going.

I did 4x 15 minutes at a speed of 11 today quite comfortable. Tomorrow I should be able to do half an hour I think. I've been going every day, or even twice a day.

Thnx

Half hour at a speed of 13 today. It's going well. Tomorrow I'm going speed 14, for 15 minutes I hope. If it goes bad then 10, if it goes well then maybe 20 minutes. I think the speeds on the treadmills are in km/h... just judging by the distance I covered in 30 minutes. 6.5km in 30 minutes = 13km/h, and the speed setting was 13.

I'm doing this as a sort of "log" to keep track of myself... since I've started it I'm gonna keep going now lol.

I'm not real shocked. Over those four months, your muscles became more relaxed and less used to the work. You just have to build them up to indure a longer amoutn of time again.

I just won't say good bye, my precious.

I really do miss you.

Just a girl with an angel above, just a girl with an angel to love. My angel grew wings and she did dare to fly. But I promise my angel, it's only good night but never good-bye. My angel, my angel in heaven above. My angel, my darling, you'll always have my love. Rest in peace, my sweet darling, it's only temporary that we part. My angel, my angel, how you still do steal my heart </3

15 minutes at a speed of 14kmph today. I nearly threw up I think... that's what it felt like.

I've been off "ill" for 6 days with hangovers lol, it's been my birthday so I've been messing about a lot. I'm getting back on track now again. Hopefully 20 minutes at 14kmph tomorrow.
