What is the law that says this ?? -

What is the law that forces someone with information on a big case to give that information? And if they won't give the info it results in being held in jail (or something else, depending on age). I know this law is unconditional, even if giving the info will harm your life.

That's what forces you to come before the jury but there's an acual law. I've been searching around but I've been having no luck. It's on the tip of my tongue I just can't pull it out.
