Hiding A Journal? - September 16th 2011, 03:13 PM

Where do you hide your journals? I need a good place to hide mine, because my mom snoops through my room to look for it.

Your story is still fresh in my mind, so I'll answer!

In your particular case, there is NO safe place to hide your journal. Your mom cannot be trusted to not find it, and then, she cannot be trusted to respect your privacy and not read it, and then, to not overreact to what she inappropriately reads, and then not have it majorly impact the relationship she has with you. Sorry. The risks here are too high, I cannot think of one place anywhere just yet in your life where if it was found it couldn't somehow find it's way (or be turned over) to her.

PM me with the link of the post you'd like me to respond to.

Tell her there's something called privacy.

Put it in a lock box and keep the key on you at all times.

If you can keep it with you, that's also an option.

I hide my journal inside a book, ha ha ha it has worked really well for me. The book I have is like this book about animals and it's almost like a binder so it can fit a journal. That's the only reason I kept the book, plus for the cute animals. Ha.
You could try and keep it with you at all times, but that gets annoyin after a while. Or I think it would. You could try under your mattress, but I heard some people say that it's a dead give away. Just really examine your room, you'll find a place. Good luck!

Nothing easy is worth doing, but easy would be nice every once in while.

I have my diary/journal on my computer. There's a program called iDailyDiary and you can put password protection on it which could be useful for you.

I had a diary when I was little and I hid it in a dresser drawer and it was locked.

I just keep mine near my d+d guidebooks and my yearbooks. No one ever goes near those.
