Online Surveys. - September 23rd 2011, 02:55 PM

I've always wondered if doing online surveys for money is a good idea.
My mum's boyfriend said that his friend did a few and got a lot of money for them - no scams, just answered a few questions and then got the money.
Right now as I'm doing 5 highers I don't feel I could cope with a job as well, and I'm in desperate need of money, art supplies, books etc...
I'd want to know how you could tell if a website is safe really

I've been trying to do surveys online. There are plenty who are not scams and can get you real money.

If you have the time, it is an okay way to pay bills or whatever you need :P

Unfortunately, many of them want you to be over 21 years old, or 18. They will let you take a survey but after 20minutes, or less, will say you were screened out of the survey (most likely because you said you dont know anyone who works in specific areas, or you are not old enough, or you said your parents/partner buy the items and not yourself).

I'm 21 and I get screened out about 3/4 the time. I've done about 30 surveys in a week but have only completed a few of them because I was screened out.

Then, most sites say you have to make a minimum of about $10 or some are $50 before you get a check. The sites I am on each survey only gives you about 10 points, and you have to have 1000 points before you can redeem your points into money.

So it takes a lot of time, patience, and if you need the money bad enough lies (though this defeats the whole purpose of the surveys).

If you buy things often then take surveys, otherwise they can be a waste of time.

So you have gray hair and you're only 26

that's just another reason I love you...
