Holiday family dinners w/S.O. - November 4th 2011, 04:45 AM

Holidays are coming up!

If your significant other's family invited you to their family dinner, would you go? Or would you stick with what you know and go to your own family's dinner?

My boyfriend was invited to my family's dinner because my family absolutely adores him & he pretty much rejected the offer. & To be honest, it kinda hurt.

Any thoughts/opinions?

Depends honestly, I have to go to two families during the holidays which i barely see anyway. I might go to my S.O's if there was time in the day but my parents probably wouldn't like that.

My parents would probably say no...unless they were really comfortable with the person I would be with.

When someone apologizes enough times for something they'll never stop doing I think its fearless to stop believing them. I think its fearless to say "Your NOT sorry" and walk away.

Depends. It's a tradition for my family to eat together, so they come first. But for example, this year we have to eat early since my dad has to work that night, so I will be attending my family's lunch/dinner & my boyfriend's family's dinner that night. Soo much eating.

I don't do Thanksgiving so I would go to my SO's. If my mother was doing a dinner however, she would never let me go somewhere else.
