Random childhood memories thread :) -
December 16th 2011, 12:22 PM
So today I was writing an essay on what we remember from our school days when we were younger, and I found this essay fun and it took my mind off things to put myself back to a more innocent time and place. So here's some of what I remember and please feel free to share your own!
![]() Going to 1st grade with my Britney Spears backpack, folders, pencils, pencil case, everything yes it was the age of "Oops!...I did it again" and all girls were obsessed My second memory is when the Swedish band Play hit the United States when I was in 3rd grade, "I'm gonna make you love me" was the biggest song at my lunch table, I would steal my mom's walkman and me and my 4 close friends at the time would all be as close as possible, trying to all hear it out of one set of headphones LOL we were so cool. Please note I intend this as a positive thread for positive memories only please

In the second grade, my best friend went around telling everybody that she was engaged to marry Aaron Carter.
She wore a ring we had bought at the dollar store as her engagement ring. Also, "I Want You" by Savage Garden was my favorite song for most of my early childhood. I called it the cherry cola song. Haha. If you could see me Whoever I am. It's not like the movies, but it's not all skin and bones. --- Walking the Dog by Fun. --- |

My first childhood memory would be in Kindergarten where there is no hate and everyone is friends with everyone else
I also do remember the first time I made honor roll for my elementary school, it made me and my mom so proud! |

I remember when I was in third or fourth grade and my friend got a mood ring for her birthday and was wearing it during recess. But she dropped in a snowbank and she made all of us go look for it. We then gave up and said that we would look for it when the snow melted.
We never found it.

Sliding down the stairs on blankets with my brother and sister, like sledding indoors. So fun!
My sister teaching me to ride a bike and read. <3 Everyone chasing everyone around in elementary school where we were all friends.

My dad used to take me on rides on his motorcycle when I was little (around 4, I think) and I'd sit in front of him and hold onto the gas cap
"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, “Dear Jim: I loved your card.” Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it." |

I guess as I remember in the age of 3 plus, I fell down from the staircases and got a major wound on my head. I still got that stitch marks on right side of my forehead.

I have so many...
![]() I remember when I was about 4 and my, at the time, best friend put sand from the sand pit at nursery in my hood. ![]() I also remember playing a fairy game in the playground at school and being the ghost fairy who could be invisible. I remember on meet the teacher day before starting year 6, my soon to be teacher threw a toy at this kids head and then blamed it on her tripping which was hillariously funny. The song 'Where is the love' by black eyed peas being played every time my year 6 teacher did and assembly because she loved it so much. The song 'moving on up' because it was my primary school leavers song that we performed in our leavers assembly, but we changed the words to fit the occasion. There's more but I'll leave it at this for now .
![]() Would you let me see beneath your beautiful Would you let me see beneath your perfect Take it off now girl, take it off now girl I wanna see inside. ღ |
