Merry Christmas everyone! It's that time again! (I didn't see any other Christmas present related threads, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!)

What did Santa bring you?

I got...
-An iPad :O
-A travel coffee mug that says, "I chose the road less traveled... Now where the heck am I?!"
-A Keurig coffee maker (Mommy says it's an early wedding gift ^_^)
-2 Christmas teddy bears

-A Nintendo 3DS (from the future hubby)
-A game for said 3DS
-A book of devotionals for teachers
-$50 from Grandma
-A diamond bracelet (from the future hubby)

For my family members, I had to be kind of cheap this year, but everyone liked their gifts
-For Mommy, an M.I. Hummel figurine
-For Daddy, a book about "Whatchamacallits" and some Angry Bird plushies
-For my brother, an Angry Birds t-shirt and a renewed GameStop membership
-For my sister-in-law, a wine glass that says, "I like my men like I like my shoes. Tall and sexy."
-For my sister, a Toadstool plush (from Super Mario Bros.)

Re: The Official 2011 "Christmas Haul" Thread! - December 25th 2011, 03:36 PM

I received:
  • A pair of pajama pants from my mother
  • A Think Geek t-shirt that reads "Resistance is Futile (if <1 Ohm)" from my sister
  • A very sleek pull-over from my father
  • A weird gravity-defying illusion ball from my parents
  • A mug from the Unemployed Philosopher's Guild (AWESOME company) that has several dozen famous mathematical formulae
  • Think Geek "Bacon-flavored Popcorn" () from my sis
  • The TI-nspire CX Calculator, () with a 2-year warranty, from the family
  • A couple of very nice sweaters, and some $ from the grandparents.
I didn't have much to work with this year, so I gave to my immediate family:
  • A "waterless car-wash kit" to my father
  • A personalized day-planner to my mother
  • A new pair of cozy slippers to my sister
  • An Angry Birds hat to my brother.
It was a good haul this year.

Re: The Official 2011 "Christmas Haul" Thread! - December 26th 2011, 12:57 AM

Man, I don't want to be that loser that talks about way back when, but christmas has changed when people can say "it's not much" and follow it up with a long list of stuff, or a few really expensive things....

That said, I am seriously blessed to have gotten the following- it's really only this nice because I'm leaving town for a few years next week, I'm sure, but I'm still super happy!

from the rents:
-I got a 64gb iPod touch with a leather cover
-a cover for my KoboVox
-a 'turn your ex boyfriend into a toad' gag gift from my dad (who bought it when my ex left town apparently and saved it until now)
-a plug adaptor for when I move to england next week
-200 dollars

from my aunt:
-a scarf
-a necklace
-"oh canada" mittens for england

from various people:
-4 journals. apparently it is the popular 'bon voyage' gift

and from my best friend:
-chocolate covered bacon!!! hahaha, which was the perfect thing to give me.

Re: The Official 2011 "Christmas Haul" Thread! - December 31st 2011, 03:05 AM

I got an iPhone 4 (yay!), a few things from Sephora and a sweater, in addition to some stocking stuffers.

I bought my sister a new winter jacket (because I'm nice ok) and I gave my dad my iPod, which he was excited about. I also bought my best friend a new sweater and Justin Bieber hair mist. The latter was really hard to give away, though, let me assure you

"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it.
I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote,
“Dear Jim: I loved your card.”
Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.”
That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything.
He saw it, he loved it, he ate it."

I got money, the three Hunger Games books (I am in love with these) and some cologne.

Edit: And I got an iPhone 4S, but I keep forgetting that it was a Christmas present as I got it early because my old phone broke.
