and spur a smile on her own lips.
This girl carries a notebook
waiting to be filled with lengthy ideas
for a novel unwritten,
but the pages are pale
from the plague of writer's block.
She thinks about the coffeehouse piece

and streams of ideas
that she doesn't want other people to hear.
This girl puts her pen to the page anyway
and scribbles a note
for her eyes only,
hoping that it might mean something
to someone else as well.

I know it seems as though the world may be crashing down around you, but believe me when I say it's not. I know you feel so guilty for you past deeds done but believe me when I say you shouldn't.

EmiLeigh, everything you have gone through in the past has made you the strong, young, beautiful women you are today! I mean really, look at yourself...yeah that's right, you are brilliant. You help out so many people, you are there for your friends, you are always doing good things in your community, really you're just fabulous.

But wait look at that, a tear? There's no time for that. I know you feel so oppressed in your household, but you have one year left hun, just one more year! I know you didn't think you would make it to the age of 18, but hey you made it! So now strive for something bigger and better, strive for making this the best year yet, and getting into a university. I know you can do it, despite what other people tell you dear, you will certainly make it to a uni.

I'm sorry that you have felt lonely the past three years of high school, and that you started self harmer, and that you constantly put yourself down, and that you had suicidal thoughts almost everyday, but you know what, I forgive you for all of that. You deserve to be so happy. I wish you could see just how beautiful you truly are because you deserve nothing short of the best.

Even though you are still self harming, I think we both know that it's time to move on. Even though you find it comforting, you need to get away from this. I know you are so strong and that one day you certainly will, but if you're not ready for that now, that's okay, because I know that you're not, the day will come though.

EmiLeigh, you are so amazing. I wish you wouldn't put yourself so down, because people adore you, I want you to see just how wonderful you are. Please don't cry no more, I'm here if you ever want to talk, Please take care of yourself.

I know you don't believe that you can make it through, but you can. You HAVE to believe. Rie, you don't always have to be the strong one. People will understand. If you don't get straight A* grades it doesn't matter, so long as you feel that you're doing yourself proud, nothing else matters.
Marie, everybody knows that there's something that you are keeping from them. You don't have to keep it from them, although it may hurt them you can tell them. Sometimes you have to lean on other.
Rie, you passed all of your GCSE's with perfect grades. It's hardly as though you cannot get through this.
You have spent over a month working In India to make their lives more bearable, one person alone cannot change the world, but you have the ability to change how others view their lives.

Remember that you CAN do this, you ARE strong and you WILL get through this.

Well, it's been a long journey for just 16 years. You've grown up. You've matured. You may have even figured out who you are. Although you've been through a lot of rough times, I am proud of you. I am proud of you that you have gone 370 days (with only 1 slip up at the 330 mark) without cutting. I am proud of you that you have been able to control your drinking at least a little more than you thought. I am proud of you that you are getting good grades in school and that you are working up to your highest potential. I want you to know though, self, that I am not proud of the way you handled your confusion a little while ago. Sometimes you need to stop and think about everyone in the big picture of things. However, things have turned out just right. Everyone is happy in the end, and if they're not happy, then it's not the end.

Times are hard and there is so much going on. I want you to know that things will be alright. Please keep your faith, and trust in the Lord. He will get you through each and every obsticle. There is nothing He would put in front of you if you were unable to do it. I know that you can! And I know you will succeed. Life is going to have it's ups and downs, but it's important that you keep your head up and just keep believing.
All those nights you layed in bed and cried yourself to sleep. All those days you just stayed in bed because you didn't want to see anyone or talk to anybody. Everytime someone put you down for your looks, or because you're a cutter, I understand all those moments. They were real. And I want you to know that they were all meant to happen. They were planned. And although you may have seen them as bad before, I hope you can see that each and every one of those moments have transformed you into the person you are today. And the person you are today is someone who is full of passion for music, and love for Christ, and potential to move mountains. I know you can do anything that you put your mind to.
And I hope you can see that even when times are hard, it will just make you grow into a more beautiful person. A person whom people look up to, and want to be like. I hope you can see that people love you, for who you are.
Things are complicated. Brian is gone. Family is broken. And friends are never nearby. But keep hope that things will be alright in the end, because I know they will be.

When you look in the mirror, I don't want you to point out all your flaws. I don't want you to point out your imperfections. I want you to realize that every single one of those imperfections, are making you perfect. I want you to see that even when your eyes are sheding the tears, they are still beautiful. I want to see you believing in your self, as so many other people do. Your flaws are the things that make you perfect. And I think that you should see that. You need to see beyond your looks, and see that the girl deep down inside of you, is perfect. Because it's not someone else. It's her.

You've lived a pretty good life so far. Eventful, but overall, a happy life. Please don't define yourself by what happened last year. Seriously, you're much better off just forgetting about it. I guess I could talk about everything. You lived a very happy, incredible first fifteen years. Your parents are amazing people, you and your brothers are inseparable. You are well-liked, and for nine of those years, you and your best friend were always together. You had an amazing elementary school experience, where you met all sorts of amazing people who loved you. When you were 2, you met Katie, and you two have been best friends ever since. You were friends with Melanie, Jackie, and Roxana for a while, too, and that was fun. You were friends with Sara, and never did you imagine that you would see her again in the 9th grade. You were so overjoyed. After the 4th grade, you went to private school, and befriended Hannah, Victoria, Sheena, Danielle, and Morgan. That year, by far, was the happiest, most carefree year of your young life. You left after that one year, because things were so perfect that you didn't want to ruin them later on. You met your best friend there, and you two have been friends since. You even got back in touch with Morgan, and Sheena recently, and that was fun. You were home-schooled for the first semester of 6th grade, and you did a fantastic job of keeping in touch with all of your friends long after you left. You went to public school again, for the first time in a year and half, and that was a grand experience. You met so many people there, and you made so many friends. There were several obstacles in your way, but you did overcome. You learned a lot, and you made so many precious friends there. You've loved, and lost, and overcome, and that's made you strong. So many people have admired you, and loved you, and found strength in you, your entire life. So keep doing what you do best, and be your best self, and try not to feel bad that you made mistakes last year. Dear J,

You haven't had a good time from the back end of 2009 to the start of 2010, you think you are not strong enough to fight whatever is destroying you inside, the doctors send you home without answers your mam wants you to go back but you're scared, you are scared of getting tests done for all sorts, you especially hate blood tests, then you will probably cry on/off waiting for the results to come back. You think the doctors near you don't care as you were told you were anaemic and they would keep an eye on it but that was feb 2009 and now here you are haven't had anything checked out. What if it's bad? What if the anaemic has turned into something worse? You question this over and over all you want to do is sleep and you feel like a fragile person. you are dehydrated, fevers, you taste blood you experience nosebleeds gumbleeds it's not nice. You'd rather die than get checked out because the doctors might not give a damn about you, but you know your strong you just don't want to show it. 2009 wasn't a good year for you either, you are doubting everything the Clairvoyant told you, you know and feel like it's not going to be a good year yet she said it would be. You feel like every bit of life has gone and now you think to yourself What if i'm dying? Your not scared you are just worried if it's true what about your family, friends. You wish that 2008 was back because that was the only year you enjoyed well the back end of it because you met an amazing guy who you've been with nearly 2 years now, yes you've broke up a number of times but always seem to bounce back remember when he was going to break up with you and he brokedown because he couldn't well that means he loves you and thinks the world of you. He doesn't want to see you in pain not like this he wants you to be better, so you try to hide the pain and be happy but he can see there's something troubling you. You haven't had time to get him anything for his birthday and he's been 24 a week tomorrow. You feel like you need to get out but can't yes you feel a bit better today but you aren't going to get your hopes up as you know you might relapse go back to square one in the next few days and you were going to see him and his grandma as you haven't saw her since last year but it's just bad luck the roads are covered with ice. You want to be ok as his family worry and so does yours, you're 20 in 4 months and feel like your life is ending. You have amazing friends and feel arwful for not going to see Sarah but you can't your ill, you hate this mystery illness taking over your plans. But you'll see Sarah again soon hopefully, you have amazing friends on TH who love you and adore you, don't give up you know who your true friends are now and as for them other people hunny ignore them their just jealous of you so they say stuff that's untrue and twist stories also pretend to be someone their not, because you are beautiful you just don't want to know it. Everyone loves you so chin up and don't let this thing whatever it is beat you and bring you down.

You got through this once before, you can do it again. Remember when you were that 14 year old girl lost, alone and soooo close to giving up completely? how much happier were you just a year later? You CAN do this again, just believe in yourself. I know it's hard and you don't want to do this all over again but you'll be so grateful in the long-term.

Also, PLEASE start doing more college work :| I know at times you really can't be bothered and you don't even see the point but I know you can do this if you try.
