I can't be honest because I'm scared of going back to hospital and I don't want to go into respite.
I want to cut but my probation officer checks my arms, so I'm going to have to go to legs or something.
I love working out, as long as I actually get myself to the gym, it's great.

Add lack of empathy to the laundry list of things I can't do right and your lack of confidence in me that I will actually fix it. How is that supposed to help me? Basically saying "You lack empathy, but I don't feel like you're going to do anything about it." You realize I went back to my room and cried, right? I'm really starting to feel incompetent. I'm seriously questioning what I'm doing here and I just want to run home screaming and find a new profession. I need to know I'm not the only one doing things wrong because that's what it feels like. Maybe I need to be medicated for depression and/or anxiety, maybe that would help. Saying that you "Think it's something else", but not telling me what it is is NOT going to help me, if neither of us know what's wrong I can't do anything about it!
I needed to know that what I'm dealing with is normal at this stage and that it doesn't mean I'm incompetent, 2 seconds away from getting kicked out of the program, or about to fail your class. I found that out in class tonight, interesting thing is, it was from your GUEST LECTURER instead of you. I serously wonder if you've taught before or if it's just me.

last night....i mean....what happened?
Seriously....one minute....i'm walking around trick or treating, freezing my vegas showgirl ass off, and the next....you're running across the street to see me.....to hug me...
and wouldn't ya know it, you came with us girls to zoe's house and you acted like...idk...my boyfriend  like...eating my candy and hugging me and smiling all nice...
and then im at your house like...wtf just happened??? btw, you must srsly talk about me alot.... does eveeryone in ur family call me Tay? Ha
.....and then we're playing videogames.... and hugging....
and then....almost kissing....
like....ur lips.... barely touching... like I could TASTE your breath.....
i want to know whats going through your head... and I want to know whats going through mine...
cuz I really don't know....

Considering we're supposed to be working from a strength-based perspective, I think we should be taught that way so it can be modeled for us. You also tried to use an approach on me as a student/client that I don't agree with so it won't be effective.
That should be proof that prayer is not enough to cure a mental illness. And how many times to I have to say that MOST mentally ill people are NOT VIOLENT?! As someone with a mental illness I take major offense to that! Step out of your evangelical religious views for 2 seconds and do the research for yourself.
