The reason for this was because my mom said that that pic was insultng the reader. i got a little lecture about it, so i wanted a more Wide-Spread opinion.

It depends on the context that you use it in.
Scenario 1: Posting it randomly, then yes, you are insulting whoever made the DVD rewinder. Scenario 2: Someone is getting owned in a debate in a thread. Quoting them, then posting the picture will be insulting towards THEM, not the DVD rewinder. |

There is no inventor of the DVD rewinder, by the way. Its a gag prank to pull on those that aren't so technologically gifted. It spins the CD, and makes a rewinding noise similar to rewinding a VHS tape, but you can record your own message to be played back when the Rewind button is pressed. Just so you know that no inventor was actually that stupid.
