Boyfriend's Birthday -
September 24th 2009, 09:11 PM
Hello all. My boyfriends birthday is on Monday and unfortunately i have classes all day except for a 2 hour break in the middle of the day =(.... so we decided we are going to celebrate his birthday the following Friday. I have made plans for that day and night and I'll give him his birthday gift then, but i'd like to do something special for him on his birthday (Monday) as well....not necessarily a gift, but something thoughtful. Any ideas?

I had the same problem with my boyfriend's birthday as we both had something going on all day. He knew that would be celebrating it that weekend so we honestly didn't make a big deal about it.
I text him in the morning and then brought cookies to school. Maybe give him some baked goods? Hope you figure something out. ![]() |

I like this idea, I sent my boyfriend a text at midnight on his birthday because I didn't want to wake him because he had school the next day but he got the text first thing when he woke up. You could always phone him during that 2 hour break just to wish him a happy birthday see how his day has been. Another thing you can do is get something delivered to his house on his birthday, there are a lot of different websites that send different stuff. You can send cakes, cookies, balloons or chocolate. I have done this before for family members who live in different cities around the country or even if I just know I won't be able to see them on their birthday. It just lets them know you are thinking of them even though you can't be there. I don't know where you are but if you are in the UK then these are useful websites. www.balloonmonkey.com www.bradfordsbakers.com www.cadburygiftsdirect.co.uk |

Thank you everyone for your help! Everything turned out nicely, I surprised him on his lunch break. He was sooo not expecting it. And Rachel, thanks for all the website links...i'm not in the UK, but it's a very good idea. I'm sure we have places like that around here.
