Games to play at a birthday?

Hello. I am having a birthday party and I need to know what games to play. We're going to play Mafia for sure because that's just freakin' awesome, but can you think of any others? Thanks. Much appriciated.

I guess it depends on how old you are but some games are always fun.

There are 2 games similar to Mafia. Wink murderer and murder in the dark.

Murder In The Dark

Make enough slips of paper for 1 each.

On one write "murderer", on another write "detective", and on all of the rest write "suspect".
Give out the slips. You can not reveal to anyone what you are.

Someone counts to three and turns off the lights. (Be sure to play this in a room where no one will bump into any sharp things) and the game begins.

The murderer finds people and taps them on the shoulder. If you are tapped on the shoulder and are a suspect, simply fall to the ground, making a few dying noises. If you are tapped and you are the detective, you say "detective is dead". When the detective is killed, the lights go on. All dead suspects must pretend to be dead, and even the murderer himself can play dead.

The detective then surveys the "bodies" and accuses who they think is the murderer. If they guess wrong, the murderer has won, but if they guess right, the detective has won.

To make it easier for young detectives, people can call out "Murderer, murderer" when they are killed.

Wink Murder

All guests sit in a circle and closes their eyes (no peeking!). The host taps one person to be the "murderer". Everyone may open their eyes, but no talking is allowed. The murderer must successfully wink at five (or less depending how many are in the circle) without getting caught.

If you are winked at you must dramatically fall to the centre of the circle and wait for the game to end. If you catch someone winking you immediately raise your hand and secretly tell the host. If they're right they win, if they're wrong they "die" and the game continues until the murderer winks at all his victims.

Snuggle Bug

Designate one person at the party the "Snuggle Bug" by putting slips of paper into a bowl (all blank except for the one that has the SB on it). Whoever picks the "SB" is the "Snuggle Bug".

All of the guests are in the same room (with the lights off throughout the house) at the beginning of the game. Then the "Snuggle Bug" gets to go and find a hiding place.

People roam throughout the house and ask other players, "Are you the Snuggle Bug?"

- If the answer is "No", then they keep searching.
- If the answer is "Yes", then the person has to snuggle up to the SB.

As more guests find the SB and snuggle up, the hiding space becomes overcrowded, and the last person to find the SB is the loser. (Have a "booby prize" ready for the loser).

Also Spin the bottle it always good. If you are all girls then you can have truth or dare or nail polish versions of spin the bottle.

Get 10 bottles of nail polish and arrange them in a circle. Get a bottle.

You choose someone to go first and they spin. Whatever color the bottle lands on they have to paint a finger with it ! Do this until everyone has painted all 10
