Um. I don't like that. I think it's a very one-sided view. Like, I wonder how much he has looked at all sides of the situation?

Wow, it's like the American version of Quebec separatism.

It seems a bit unspecific. It would be nice if the governor would actually identify the opressing actions of the federal government.

If there are gods and they are just,
then they will not care how devout you have been,
but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by.
If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them.
If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life
that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."

Well trying to take away the 10th amendment is oppression. It's a part of the constitutions. I don't even understand the logic behind it anyways. So people won't have legal weapons to murder with? Since when to murderers obey the law anyways? All it'll mean is that everyone else will be unprotected. If someone's going to murder someone, I don't think their mindset is going to be that of "Hm, well, big guns are illegal, so I don't think I'm going to viciously slaughter my wife after all. Oh well."

Typical Texas. They jump to wild conclusions about the new administration, and as a reaction, they declare that their state laws are superior to national ones. I honestly don't understand the need to carry a big gun, or the itching desire to stop gays and lesbians from marrying (or at least having civil unions).

I don't really have any opinion on the Texas situation because I feel that I do not know enough about the situation.

It's the same as the tax day tea parties: Republicans are bitching and crying because the American people hammered the final nail into the coffin of the Permanent Republican Majority (an idea which was kind of lulzy even when they controlled everything), so they're reverting back to the "oh noes Democrat liberal communists!!!111111" stage. It won't come to anything.
