http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/...hen-calls-made
http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/...-award-inquest

these articals are all related to the same story (sorry there is a few of them)

how could these people still have their jobs...its not right.

this boy rang 000 for help...any he was belittled, made fun of,put on hold by the operaters (i wouldnt want them answering my calls) about an hr after his last call he died.

Now ive been lost in the bush b4 and it now seems like i was just lucky that the 000 person knew what to do n handled the job great and i was found in perfict health but these operaters keep making excuses like not haveing enough training but you dont need training to learn not to be sarcastic to someone.

Wow. Hanging up on emergency calls. This is incredibly tragic and could have been so easily avoided..

I think they should definitely be fired. They're job is to give help to people who need it and obviously they failed miserably at that. Fire and sue their asses.

That woman should not have her job. This is completely absurd. There was one article that said he "would have died anyway", but uh.. look at all the crazy cases of people who should have been dead and aren't. I blame this solely on her, and she should be fired and sued by the family. This is completely ridiculous. That poor boy...

Seriously. "he would have died anyway..." How the hell would they know? Well, now they'll never know if he could have been saved. Some people are just so unbelievable.

I hope they are fired. That is completely unacceptable. And if I were their parents or family I would sue them. Really.

Urgh. I don't understand how someone could be so unbelievably heartless about something like that.

Definitly. There is no excuse for this, at all.

Sounds like strong grounds for a reasonable lawsuit and even more so a reason to fire this horrible woman. Her actions indirectly caused the death of one person, and the near death of at least one other.
