Hi Brittney!!

I hope you're OK.

It makes me sick too. What a truly frightening thing ignorance can be. No wonder so many albino's in that part of the world are terrified. And I don't blame them. I would feel the same way. And no doubt this really 'hits home' with your sister - so my heart goes out to her - too.

GREAT BIG HUG
Craig!!

This is really sad. However, we can not condemn a culture or belief, no matter how much we disagree with it. They believe it's good luck, and until they start to believe otherwise, it will keep going on.

I can and will condemn any belief system that includes maiming or killing people, despite this odd "tolerate absolutely everything no matter how horrible it is" idea we have in society today. I understand how one would hold these beliefs after growing up in the culture. It's not their fault they were born in a certain place and time. But I still condemn the practice. They aren't necessarily responsible for holding the belief in the first place, but that doesn't mean people shouldn't do everything they can to shed light on how horrible it is, and educate the believers about why albino body parts do not have magical properties for which we should kill them.

Not around so much now that school's started

"Live a good life.
If there are gods and they are just,
then they will not care how devout you have been,
but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by.
If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them.
If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life
that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."

This must be a joke. The Muslim extremists believe in exterminating all Jews to get "72 Virgins" in heaven. We "respect that culture" and we're doomed to fall under the hands of tyrranical militants. Political correctness has taken RIDICULOUS stands.

You CAN and MUST condemn a belief if it is harming innocent people. That comment made me so disappointed in today's young public. God save us all.

Why cant we condemn a culture? If something goes against our beliefs and possibly against our society's views, then why should we shouldn't we condemn it? If something goes against my views very strongly and I disagree with it, I sure as hell with condemn it regardless of why the people do what they do. I do blame the people but only because I blame the culture. The people made the culture, they practice it, etc... . So I blame it on the culture but since the culture only exists and is practiced by people, then I will blame those who practice it. I understand that they may no know better and I acknowledge that, however, I'm going to still blame them and their culture.

I'm interested in why you believe not to condemn? I agree that they'll keep going with their culture but that's not a great reason to not condemn. That's essentially saying that one shouldn't condemn racist people simply because racism will continue. I assume this is your argument anyways, if not, then I'm interested as to what it is.
