Although it may be illegal, it's temporary and there's no difficulty in getting the jumpers off. I'd be happy if I were in that area as it gives a nice little fun mystery to go around to spice up life and keep people on their toes. I'd be amazed if they arrested the person(s), maybe tying their hands with a jumper briefly would be appropriate lol.

 This is awesome! More people should be willing to have a little silly fun like this. The atoms that make up you and me were born in the hearts of suns many times greater than ours and in time our atoms will return once again to reside amongst the stars. Yuss, my math teacher told us about this the other day. I think it's brilliant.
And slightly amusing that the police are looking into a mystery knitter - great use of tax dollars, glad to know they have their priorities straight..

Haha, that's just awesome. I'd be thrilled if the trees round here started donning jumpers. I think it's a bit of a waste of time and resources looking in to the knitter, surely the police have better things to do.
