Did you guys hear about this guy yet. Traveling across Canada with only a cameraman and a deck of cards to get across. I like the idea. i might have to try something like this.

There's always something that's confused me about these survival shows: the camera crew. Clearly they're given food, equipment, etc... and although they may film 24/7, usually we see about 30 - 60 minutes of it. Point is, if the crew has food, electronics and such, who is to indicate they don't help the magician out in his survival?

i can see your point on that. but it does say they will give up everything at the pres conference. so it will only be the deck of cards and that video camera. plus it also states it will only be one person with the camera.

My point still stands, is the cameraman getting food and such provided to him/her or do they also have to work for it? I'd assume they get it provided to them.

In these survival shows they always say they are alone, but they have a camera crew with them and when they say that they will die and wont be able to escape from a situation the camera crew seems to be forgotten about.

So if I get this right, he's going to get food from his camera crew while he's taking this "journey", and then his twin or someone that looks just like him will be at his hometown in a box or something and the guy will miraculously travel 600 something miles in 10 seconds.

The cameraman will most likely get provided food by the magician when he goes and busk's for money.

Well one it the link says he isnt alone he has one guy following him with a camera. and i am pretty sure the cameraman will leave everything behind too.

ill say it again. its not a whole crew its just one guy following him. it does saw in the link that they will give up there cash phones and credit cards at the press release.

and as for the main event i wouldnt know how it will end.

That's why I always liked Survivorman. Les Stroud, the host, actually carries his camera equipment with him and does all the filming himself. He isn't being followed and fed by a camera crew with food and supplies.

Man vs. Wild on the other hand...



This show does look pretty interesting. I think it'd be pretty amazing if I had the skills to live off of a deck of cards and travel around Canada (or America, for that matter). It'd be pretty damn fun
