Aussie Boy's Body Found in Croc - February 18th 2009, 11:55 PM

http://www.newser.com/story/51128/au...d-in-croc.html

Quote:
(Newser) – The remains of a 5-year-old boy who vanished while playing near a flooded Australian river have been found inside a crocodile, reports AP. The stomach contents of a 14-foot croc captured in the Daintree River confirmed the giant reptile consumed the boy, who disappeared while playing with his dog and brother in a mangrove swamp. The killer animal will be sent to a crocodile farm or zoo, officials said.
That's really sad. The poor boy. I can't imagine being eaten by a crocodile. I wonder how his body was found without harming the crocodile though.

That's so sad.
I have a totally irrational fear of crocs... so :/
imagine being five years old and coming up against a 14 foot croc... *shivers*

I blame the parents... A five year old shouldn't be left to play outside alone, especially if there is chance of a crocodile being there =/
But it's still sad... why did the crocodile need to be captured TT.TT, but it's worse that it ate a child. But it's what nature does.

And don't they flood the stomach with water or something to empty it so they know what it's been eating?

As mean as this might sound that's what crocodiles do.

5 year old playing alone near flooded river...sounds like dinner for me if I was a croc...it's the way of nature...it always wins.

OH god. Trying not to laugh... failed. DAMMIT.

Unfortunately this happens sometimes. IF you're going to play near a river like that, then expect the worst.

I fixed it for you! The kid was only 5 years old, if it was anyone's fault it was his parents'.
