Rick Rescorla, A hero. 9/11 - September 20th 2010, 09:05 PM

I have to post this because of the respect I suddenly have for this guy.

I think this is right. I'm sure you can find it somewhere on the internet...
Rick, worked within the Twin Towers. A good twenty years back, he did a risk assessment and brought up concerns about how a bombing could be possible, by someone placing it secretly in a car in the car park, and suggested to move to Jersey, to be in a safer area. It did not happen. A few years later, it happened and the twin towers were bombed.

In the late 90's, he did a risk assessment and brought up concerns about how there could easily be a terrorist attack where planes are crashed into the building. However, nothing was taken or made from it. In 2001, this happened. Because The first was hit, the second tower was told they were safe and there was no need for evacuation. But Rick knew it wasn't like that. He was in the second tower at the time. He decided to evacuate the building. He evacuated 2'700 people within 17 minutes. He went back up to evacuate more, when the second tower was hit.

He has not be seen since, and no body was found. He died that day.

I found this out in assembly this morning, and really, it's people like this who deserve to be known.

Sorry if there are any mistakes. I think its all right!

Ahh, that's sad, but at the same time I have to ask, what sort of idiot would go back into the site of a terrorist attack if they weren't getting paid to. Edited by Crux : Inappropriate.

I'm not going to state my skepticism of what happened in 9/11 here, but he was truly a hero..
