Because of Obama? No.

"Gun Madness" is thankfully becoming a things of the past.

Often I lie wide awake, thinking of things I could make.
But I don’t seem to have the parts to build them.
I am so scared of what will kill me in the end, for I am not prepared.
I hope I will get the chance to be someone, to be human.

I can understand why gun sales are rising.
With a dropping economy, people are resorting to extreme measures to get the things they need. Stealing, violence, etc. Because of this, you have the "bad guys" who are planning on using guns for such acts of stealing and violence (though, if they're going to do a criminal act, many of them just steal the gun too ), and you also have a LOT of people who feel that because people are resorting to such extreme measures to get what they need, they need to have a gun to protect themselves and their property.

I think it's a great idea to have a gun and know how to use it. The police can't always get to you quick enough in times of trouble, so it's important that you be able to defend yourself. Having a weapon in a tough economy makes sense as far as protection is concerned. It makes sense to me.
