Heart Attack Grill. - October 13th 2010, 12:15 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of eating disorders, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

WARNING: Video may mention weight numbers.

I heard about this before, I honestly thought it was a joke

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbKRSYAuSNg

The guy who runs the "Heart attack grills" defends himself by saying people should basically have the right to eat/do what they want.

Do you think places like these should be closed down? or do you think it's personal responsibility?

Re: Heart Attack Grill. - October 13th 2010, 02:27 PM

Wow. I'd never heard of that before. I think that it is very interesting to hear that there are places like that.

I also don't see why it should be closed down. I don't see why it would be a bad place to visit like once or twice a year or something. xD A special occasion. Granted I would probably get like a small burger, and may not end up eating for the rest of the day, but I think that it sounds like a fun place to visit.

I do believe that it lands on personal responsibility. Like i said, visiting every once in awhile wouldn't be that bad. What worries me is the people that probably go in there for lunch everyday, or at least a couple times a week.

At least they will admit that their food is bad for you. They said that quadruple bipass is[Edited] (If i'm allowed to put that. Forgive me if im not.) That is the same amount as eating 8 Triple Whopper Sandwichs With Cheese w/o Mayo from Burger King. That is ridiculous!

But I suppose that you only have one life, and if people want to spend thier by eating 4 times the amount of calories that the average person is supposed to eat in one day, then that is thier choice. I suppose at least the Heart Attack Grill tells their cutsomers that they will die from eating thier food.

Re: Heart Attack Grill. - October 13th 2010, 02:51 PM

The burgers look disgusting. I think it's the lard on the buns.

I also don't understand why they should be shut down? Maybe as a potential hazard for the cooks/"nurses" that don't appear to be wearing pants in the back cooking. I would be concerned about accidentally dropping hot oil or something on my legs. Otherwise, let people eat what they want. The government shouldn't be trying to control what we eat, just the claims companies make.

I will be honest, I want to eat there though and see if I can do it without getting sick. Too bad it is all the way out in Arizona.

lol As long as he gives them proper warning that they MIGHT die from eating here...I think it is no good reason why you couldn't do this.

Ew. Even if I ate meat that place would be disgusting. But if people want to go there, let them. You can't take away their free will, at least they do know it's bad for them.

My friend posted a picture in facebook with the nurse’s posing and him in the wheelchair. I would have a very hard time eating there just because of the way things are prepared I can't imagine eating the whole burger, all the grease would lodge in my arterys. Did anyone noticed how only fat people went to the Heart Attack Grill like if they needed to be there irony.

Not sure I could eat anything from that place. I could, however, kick back with a (non-diet) drink and watch the waitresses for a couple of hours.

Blah that bun coated in lard put me off buns forever...YUCK!!! But to be honest, there is nothing wrong with that place, if they closed that down saying it would kill you, then really they should stop selling all cigarettes, because they kill us.

But seriously lol a burger with THAT MANY CALORIES...who could eat that! Oh man I could not even start with that!

I don't see why places like this should be shut down. If someone doesn't have common sense to know that tons of grease can be bad for your health, there's also a sign saying just that. Besides, people aren't getting the food forced down their throats. I actually like the fact it says right on the building in big letters that the food is detrimental to one's health. McDonalds doesn't say that yet it is.

But now I want to go there for the food and the nurses. Good-looking women in tight nurse outfits and big, greasy ass burgers, fries and a beer or soda. What else can a guy want?

I can rip you off, and steal all your cash, suckerpunch you in the face, stand back and laugh. Leave you stranded as fast as a heart-attack.

At least they would die happily, doing what they loved. They must be so proud of themselves when they finish the last bite, before their body just decided to refuse to tolerate the abuse and collapse.

Not to be rude or anything, but you do understand that this restaurant does not represent all of America? If you step off of a plane, you wouldn't find yourself in this restaurant. Heck, given the distance from me (I live in the US), I probably will never see this restaurant let alone the region it is in.

The whole premise of the restaurant is to make people sick.
