That is odd. Kids need textbooks.

His letter, or the pieces they showed, made sense to me, even with the mistakes. Not that I agree with him. If your eighth graders are on a second grade reading level then give them text books and teach them how to read on an eighth grade level. Denying them textbooks will not cause them to be prepared for highschool and many of them will end of failing or dropping out.

This guy needs to learn from some of the textbooks he refuses to buy.

He earns a whooping $129,913 per year, from the article. It's surprising how he could cash in his elementary school grammar for such a huge salary. Does he use that money to buy more coloring books with no words or something?

Often I lie wide awake, thinking of things I could make.
But I donít seem to have the parts to build them.
I am so scared of what will kill me in the end, for I am not prepared.
I hope I will get the chance to be someone, to be human.

Disgraceful! How can a principal not be able to spell and write grammatically correctly? And students need textbooks and learning materials.

Shame on you, old man.

My future career suddenly looks much more assured! Turns out the competition isn't that stiff after all.

The atoms that make up you and me were born in the hearts of suns many times greater than ours, and in time our atoms will once again reside amongst the stars. Life is but an idle dalliance of the cosmos, frail, and soon forgotten. We have been set adrift in an ocean whose tides we are only beginning to comprehend and with that maturity has come the realization that we are, at least for now, alone. In that loneliness, it falls to us to shine as brightly as the stars from which we came.
