Dundee city V&A designs for the waterfront - November 3rd 2010, 04:56 PM

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...ntral-11421082

What do you think? There are six designs, all as rediculous as each other. Would you like to see this when you enter a city? Opinions please.

Ummm, they look odd...the second one's the most normal looking.

What exactly is going to be inside these funny looking buildings?

Not sure, but thats what you will see when you come along the rail bridge. I don't like them at all! I'd rather they cleaned up whats there!

Here's the one that won:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...ntral-11683663

I've got to be honest, I don't think it's a good design for a museum. The original V&A Museum in Kensington is quite a clean-looking, traditional building which provides a good environment for its exhibits; this looks like it will be a distraction from the exhibits which somewhat defeats the point of having them on display. Museums should be inspiring by all means, but that seems to have overstepped the mark. But that's just my two cents.

Yeah thats the winner, but all of them just seem so obscure! Apparently the waterfront is going to be made to match. YUCK

Ech, they seem a bit boring...I like the first one.
I hope they actually do put in something fancy and strange-looking xD
