If you read the comments, it was the girl who started the fight's fault, and the teachers responded immediately, the girl just fell and hit her head, which is why she's in the hospital, not the fight.

She whispered to her own reflection "I will be strong."

It's not that terrible, in the sense no teachers were around to stop the fight. Asking how could it have happened, as asked in the article, is just plain silly because you cant have all the students in school-grounds monitored at all times by many staff. Not possible but they were probably emotionally overwhelmed so it's understandable. Despite this, the teachers responded immediately and the girl is hospitalized for landing on her head after she started the fight. Initially, I thought it was a story on how one student got beaten up badly and teachers took longer to intervene but that wasn't what happened at all.

I blame the parents D=

But seriously? Accidents happen, the school isn't to blame the pupils are.

Based on the article, I understood that the girl int he hospital started the fight, and the uninjured girl was attacked, so why was she suspended?!

You should not get in trouble for defending yourself, if someone tried to hurt me they'd be on the ground with a broken arm in a second, but it's not my fault, they attacked me and I was just protecting myself from harm, it only seems fair that I have that right.

I'm guessing, since schools have a no-fight policy, there's only 1 girl in the fight who is capable of functioning outside the hospital because she didn't get injured, or because of whatever she did, the other girl landed on her head. I guess the reasoning may be the girl in the hospital is punished enough, so punish the other girl.

Some schools acknowledge when one student uses self-defense and doesn't punish them but other schools consider it fighting no matter what so all fighting gets punished. Not sure which type of school that high-school is.
