 I feel so awful for her and what she's been going through. Poor girl. For those of you that don't know, she's undergoing treatment for issues related to self-mutilation and an eating disorder. I read an article about her in People magazine and it just broke my heart.
"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, “Dear Jim: I loved your card.” Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it." |

I love Demi Lovato. I love her music too, and what its about.
I met Demi Lovato one time in 2008 and one in 2009. She is the sweetest girl. I've seen her in concert about 4-5 times. She's gotten herself into drugs as well, and then the eating disorder and self esteem issues (and also self harm) she's getting help for now. I know she didn't even get to be home for Thanksgiving. I hope things start to look up for her.

I heard she admitted herself into rehab or something along those lines but I wasn't sure what for. It is terrible, I hope she gets better soon.

Yeah. And her friends Selena Gomez and T Swifty all made sure she was okay and are supporting her.
I do like Demi a lot. She is such a sweetheart and I can relate to her so much. I do hope she gets better. |

I heard about this in school today and I was really surprised. I was unsettled though that someone behind me said "Why would she do that? She has the perfect life, so she shouldn't cut." And I almost went off at them, but calmly explained why some people would hurt themselves.

@Jen, I know how you feel :| A few people in my old college class always used to say how it's "stupid" that rich people are depressed :/ Money and fame do not bring happiness, if anything fame brings on extreme stress.
I feel bad for her also She seems like a nice enough girl. I suppose in a sense she is lucky she's rich, at least she will get a lot of professional help. I hope she'll get better soon.  |

I've never really cared for her music, but I also feel bad for her. I can't imagine what the stress and pressure of being constantly monitored by the press, having to perform and travel all the time, having to keep up a reputation, etc. would do to someone.

It must be horrible for her. Having any of those issues is bad enough, but add in the fact that she's famous and it all gets so much worse. I can't imagine how much stress she's under right now. Poor girl.
Nothing in the world is the way it ought to be. It's harsh, and cruel. But that's why there's us - champions. Doesn't matter where we come from, what we've done or suffered, or even if we make a difference. We live as though the world is as it should be, to show it what it can be. |

Yeah , I saw the images on a gossip site. Poor Demi is cutting again , some say its all attention , but NO way , being a teen star must be so much opressure on her. No wonder she's turned to ED and cutting
