Middle Class Revolution in America. - February 24th 2009, 11:59 PM

Will there be one? Will the middle class rise up and fight, against the government, over the fallen economy? Will the military be deployed to our streets?

Bullet and gun sales are up. This means that the middle class is armed.

More troops are being dispatched in America.
Quote:
Plans announced by the U.S. Department of Defense to have 20,000 additional uniformed troops dispatched in America by 2011...

Urban warfare drills are taking place across America. These are linked to the supposed "coming economic rage."
Quote:
...the drills may very well also be aimed at preparing troops for dealing with mass civil unrest as the economic crisis worsens.

It has already started, elsewhere.

Will it happen in America, and possibly other countries? What do you think?

To be honest, I've never thought about the middle class rising above the government. I don't really see that happening here.

But the middle class is angriest of them all. What about them rising against the upper class?

I think things would have to go pretty darn bad for it to get wild around here. Most middle class people I know would be reluctant to give up their family safety, jobs, and relative security... I don't see a literal middle class revolution happening anytime soon.

I could see something like a political revolution, something like a populist backlash to all the govt spending if it continues to not work.. but I think we're a long shot from a physical revolution.

Why is the middle class the angriest of them all? Because essentially they get left in the dust. The upper class already has everything and the lower class has a lot of things handed to them. I don't see the middle class rising up, I've never fathomed it happening here.

Oh, I got you. I read that as marital law, that explains why I was so confused.
