Police cite breast-feeding driver for endangering - February 28th 2009, 08:25 PM

Article

That has got to be the craziest thing I've heard all day. What kind of parent would breastfeeding while driving and on the phone? She's putting her child in so much danger as well as herself.

If she had to feed the child right then, she should have pulled into a parking lot or something until she was finished. Having a kid in your lap while driving is extremely dangerous for everyone involved! Let alone adding talking on the phone at the same time.

She made a few really stupid mistakes that could have resulted in tragedy. I hope she thinks things through a little better next time... And perhaps have CPS poke around a little bit. If she's willing to put her kid in that much risk in one situation, what else is she willing to sacrifice for convenience?

Wow. Poor parenting and poor life choices all rolled into one.

I wonder if this woman ever heard about driving distractions? Like breast feeding, yapping on the cell phone, and driving at the same time. Maximum stupidity, I think.

I suppose some people just dont think about the dangers of some of their actions or just make an exception and think "just this once" but I dont see why someone would do that.

Wow she's an idiot if i ever saw one. Not only risking her own life, but her childs life and those on the road around her. Very foolish indeed.

With all of the laws about car seats, I don't see how someone could think that holding a baby while driving would be okay. Being on a cell phone at the same time is just incredible.

I agree with YourNightmare's picture. I don't understand how anyone could see anything that woman did as being safe for her, or her child. I mean... so many things could go wrong, and how was she possibly holding a cell-phone, and a baby, and a steering wheel at the same time. If someone swerved in front of her, she wouldn't have had enough control to avoid them...

yes i know her child is hungry but to drive, talk on the phone and breast feed is like an accident waiting to happen.

Wow. That's just crazy. I can't imagine what made her think to do that.
