Bush = Scape Goat = American Lack of Accountablity - March 10th 2009, 05:08 PM

Funny how everyone hates Bush. I think its a lack of accountability when Americans hate him.

First of all. The Economic crisis is caused by people who are unable to pay for the mortgage. Alot of Americans who default on there mortgages had subprime rates which put the banking industry into a tailspin. The housing crisis have killed many banks and are putting Citigroup and AIG in federal life support.

People blame Iraq war on Bush, Government Spending on Bush, Afghanistan war on Bush. But American Presidents cannot declare war, legally, without asking congress for there support. There is about over 400 congressman who voted for the war, that lasted for many years. And it is the same congressmen who continue to vote for spending in iraq, and afganistan, even regardless if Republicans and Democrats are both in power in the Senate or Congress.

The American people voted for Bush twice. And also the American people voted for their sentators and congressmans who voted for the war...

IF people really do hate the war then stop voting for people who wants to spend more on the war.

One smart former independant Governor once said that if you want to stop the war, then stop voting for the budgets in the middle east wars!

The President may be the most powerful man in America but he make major descions like fiscal budgets and wars!

American people represents the people not the other way around in a democracy!

Also there is 535 congressman and women. And bush cannot make laws with out there votess.

I agree. Americans were for every decision made until it went sour. Then they looked for someone to blame, and who better a figurehead than the president of the United States. GWB was a good president in a bad time.

I love the name of honour more than I fear death.

At this point, I'd like to remind you that Bush created multiple executive orders and worked with a Republican congress to avoid oversight and regulations for businesses. Under his tenure, the national debt grew exponentially by the year.

America did not vote for Bush twice. Many Americans did, but by all means, not America. In fact, he lost the popular vote in the 2000 election, and only won because of the electorate.

Also, do some fact checking. Congress does not have 535 members. It's 435.
