LOL: Researchers Have Trouble Finding Men (Above 18) Who Have Never Watched Porn for Their Research Project

A group of researchers started a series of research projects to compare men who buy sex and men who don't buy sex on multiple fronts.

Problems?

They cannot find the perfectly "clean" men (non-sex-buyers) who fit ALL of these criteria:

• have never watched/read porn,
• have never gone to strip clubs,
• have never tried erotic massage, lap dance, and phone sex, and
• have never purchase the services of a sex worker, escort, erotic masseuse, or prostitute.

…buying sex is so pervasive that [the researchers] had a shockingly difficult time locating men who really don't do it. ***

"We had big, big trouble finding nonusers," [Melissa Farley, director of Prostitution Research and Education,] says.

***NOTE: According to their criteria, watching free porn online also count as "buying sex" because those websites do generate income from the advertisements that you view.



Finally, the researchers have no choice but to loosen their definition of the "clean" men (non-sex-buyer) to this:

• have not used pornography more than one time in the last month,
• have not been to a strip club more than two times in the past year,
• have never purchased lap dance, phone sex or the services of a sex worker, escort, erotic masseuse, or prostitute.

Most, if not all, men are perverts . . . now officially a PROVEN FACT!

Now, I'm pretty sure that we have "healthy" men out there who have never touch pornography in all their life, but darn, they're a super-rare breed now. Nevertheless, ladies, if your man were to claim that he has never watched/read porn in his entire life, chances are . . . he's lying! If you've really found one that truly have never seen porn in all his life, holy chrolarily, make sure you chain him up so that you would never lose him.

(That's a joke, by the way, don't actually do it. If you really do it, then you didn't get the idea from me, e-hem.)

Also, this is another evidence to prove that the pledge to ban porn of Michele Bachmann (a Republican candidate for 2012 U.S. presidential election) is nothing but an empty promise, used simply to gain popularity among the voters.

Viewing pornography is not synonymous with being addicted to it. The fact is that sexually mature men will have an inert interest in sex and sex-related things. And I'm not really sure that this thread would be the right one for discussing the morality of viewing pornography.

I posted this mainly for the funny news. Hence, The "Lol" in the title.

If I had wanted to make the debate the main focus, I would have make it more noticeable, rather than dumping it randomly at the end of the post. (I'm pretty sure that most people don't read past the sources anyway.) And I would also have contributed to the debate, rather than just leave the questions there and contribute nothing.

Why I am throwing some debatable questions in there? Well, this is the current events/debate forum after all. Gotta have something besides the "lol."

Do the survey about 20 years ago and it wouldn't be so bad. Doing a survey with those requirements NOW, with MEN or WOMEN (especially men) is extremely difficult. To find a guy who hasn't watched porn beyond the ages of 18 is like finding a guy that either:

A) Has no biological sex drive.
B) Has nothing but sexual intercourse.
C) Is blind (but they probably would need someone with good vision)

But what are the chances of that?

Honestly, most men(and some women) have seen porn. Maybe if they changed their standards to men who are addicted to porn and compared them to those who are not, they would have an easier time with it. Normal men > sex addicts. And, I still don't understand how men who look at porn are 'unclean'.

You know, I think you just gave me a unique idea for my research paper: Do blind men uses pornography?

Goodness, this is awesome! It would be the most unique (and funny) of the entire class for sure! I would have never thought of this. Thanks a ton, Brandon! Now then, I need to somehow convince my professor to let me start this project . (It does sound a little silly so I fear he might not give approval; plus, this might not flow well with disabled people.)

This made me laugh a little bit, I'm not gonna' lie. Makes you think though, how many men ARE lying about porn?

The first article makes men sound like closet sex-addicted, mindless perverts. I don't think men OR women are very open about their porn usage in real life. And speaking of women, I wonder how much trouble they would have finding women over 18 who had never seen pornography. It'd probably be a lot easier, but I bet it'd still be somewhat difficult. Its becoming a lot more acceptable (?) for women to watch porn (because there has always been a stigma that we shouldn't be interested in something like that) and I feel as though we are just as, or more, secretive about it.

I think men honestly are just afraid of their women going "ballistic" when finding out how often they may look, but you'd be surprised how far a little honesty goes. I think the worst thing about my husbands porn use is that he does hide it from me, like he is doing something shameful that I should be worried about.

Calling men weak for liking to look at naked ladies online (especially when its free and endless), is like giving a big bowl of chocolate candies to a menstruating woman and calling her weak for eating it.
